WearYourFaith.com has partnered with Samaritan's Purse.
After much prayer and research, WearYourFaith.com has decided to help support Samaritan's Purse. On a monthly basis, WearYourFaith.com sends 10% of its monthly profits to Samaritan's Purse to support The Children in Crisis project. "I believe this is one of the ways we as a Christian business are called to give back" says Ed Frisbee.
The Children in Crisis project
provides help to children around the world who are in seemingly hopeless
situations. These children may be child soldiers, field workers, or victims of
exploitation. In Liberia, Samaritan's Purse supports a home that rehabilitates
girls who were taken into a rebel army, forced into prostitution, and made to
fight and kill others. This Christian home provides shelter for the girls and
their babies, and also offers counseling and vocational training. Most
importantly, the staff is offering them the love and healing power of Jesus
Christ.
Through this fund Samaritan's Purse also supports
children in orphanages and child abuse prevention programs. No child leaves the
shelter before reaching an appropriate age to be able to live alone, and each
must have received education or training in how to earn a living. On some
occasions we are able to facilitate the return of the child to his or her
family. Children at risk in Afghanistan benefit from an after-school program
supported by this fund, and in Uganda children affected and infected with
HIV/AIDS are being ministered to through this project. Children in Kenya,
Mongolia, Niger, and Alaska are also benefiting from this project.
If you are not familiar with Samaritan's Purse, here is their mission statement -

Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of
war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with
the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus
Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote
the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
